About the event

Class tuition is $160 for all 5 weeks. Tuition payment is due in full the same day that your register and can be paid via Venmo (@Alyssa-Forrest-5) or Paypal (Alyssa Forrest @alyssasdogs or forresttails@gmail.com). Failure to pay the full tuition within 24 hours of registering puts you at risk of forfitting your team training spot. If you need to cancel your spot, you can recieve a partial refund of $80 if cancelled 1 week or more before class begins.

Manners 1 is a foundation class to get your and your pup off on the right paw! Open to dogs 4.5 months and older. We cover training techniques including clicker training, basic commands, loose leash skills, beginning recall, attention to handler, working through distractions, addressing common undesirable behaviors and much more! Training builds your relationship as well as exercises your dog's body and mind for one happy, content pup! After each in class training, you are given at home training assignments. Practice and consistency at home is where the magic happens!

Orientation is non-dog additional class that covers training techniques, class materials and how dogs learn 101.  It will be held on Monday, September 5th, 6:00 pm, at the training center. Manners 1 is a 5 week class held on Tuesdays from September 6th - October 4th from 6:10 - 7:00 at the training center (953 Park Ave Pagosa Springs CO).

Note: Group classes are a wonderful training experience for many reasons! Training in close proximity to other dogs is among the top benefits of attending a group class. However, if your dog is dog or people reactive (excessive barking, exteme difficulty focusing on anything but what they are barking at, lunging on leash, etc) a group class is not where you want to start training with your dog to overcome these issues. Reactive dogs are not aggressive in nature but do require a different training strategy than what is taught in group classes. If you believe your dog may be reactive and falls into this category but are unsure, please reach out to me and we can discuss if Manners 1 will be a good fit for you both!

Proof of vaccinations are required before class begins to attend any and all group classes and events. Face coverings/masks are no longer required to attend group classes. Email Alyssa at forresttails@gmail.com with any questions or concerns!
